Worship @ Christ this Sunday, August 05, 2018
God loves you! Yes, you already know this. However, do you know how much He loves you? In contemplating the great love of God and the love of Christ, one poet wrote:
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
The riches and dimensions of God’s love are vast and immeasurable, and require a Spirit-enabled strength to comprehend, as Paul prayed in Ephesians. This Sunday, Pastor Glenn will make several helpful observations about God’s love, and remind us that those adopted into God’s family inherit an eternity of love. In preparation, spend some time reading and meditating on Ephesians 3:14-19.

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS | Mission India Partners Arrested
This week news was received that three of Mission India's partners in India were arrested over a period of four days! Our hearts are heavy for these individuals and their families, but we trust that the Lord will prevail in each of these cases.
See a bit about each partner's current situation below and how you can pray for each of them. IMPORTANT: For security purposes, please do not share this information on any social media platforms.
  • Bis (name changed for security purposes), was accosted and arrested a few days ago. Thank God, after six hours, he was released without any charges filed!
  • Our partner, Pastor T (name changed for security purposes), was invited to come to a family's home for prayer. As he and a ministry associate were leaving, a mob came down the street and surrounded them. The two men abandoned the motor bikes they were riding and fled on foot but were unable to escape the mob. They were roughed up and brought to a nearby temple, where the mob tried to force them to bow down and worship the idol in the temple. When they refused, they were beaten up and brought to the police station. The mob remained at the entrance to the police station chanting anti-Christian slogans and demanding that the police file a report against our partners for forcefully converting people. The men were kept in the station overnight for their protection, and the following day, the family they had been praying with bravely arrived at the station to testify in favor of the two men to have them released. Both Pastor T and his ministry associate were eventually released after a lengthy deliberation with the police.
  • In a neighboring state to Pastor T, a former partner and one of his ministry associates were arrested a few days ago and are still in police custody. They have been accused of the same thing as above: forcefully converting (or alluring) non-Christians to Christianity. After rumors that a "Christian conversion house" had been established in the home of a family that recently came to know Jesus, members of the fundamentalist anti-Christian groups in the area decided to take matters into their own hands and deliver the "culprits" to the police station. Pray that these men be released soon without any charges against them.
Please cover these partners in prayer, asking God to protect them and remove them from harm so they can continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in their communities.
