Kenny Graves and Nicole
youth minister

Our DCE is Kenny Graves. Kenny G received his bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and Leadership from Concordia University, Irvine in 2005. He has been working full-time at Christ Lutheran since June of 2005. Kenny G is working with Club 56, Jr. High, Sr. High, and starting a young adult ministry (ages 18-24).

Kenny is married to a wonderful lady named Nicole. Together they live in beautiful Laguna Niguel with their malti-poo named Winston. They love to take Winston to the dog park, walking the malls (when it’s hot), and watching the Angels play baseball! Nicole graduated with her masters in Speech Language Pathology and plans to start working in a school district Fall 08’.

Christ Lutheran Youth Ministries

Our Mission Statement:
Our ministry exits to REACH non-believing students, to CONNECT them with other Christians, to help them GROW in their faith, and to challenge them to DISCOVER their ministry and SERVE GOD with their lives.

We offer a variety of programs for young people 5th grade through College. Each group is designed to provide a positive environment, focusing on fellowship, service, growth in faith and knowledge of the Lord’s great love for each of us.

Club 56 grades 5– 6 meet monthly for games, snacks and devotions. Occasional off campus plans include destinations such as Newport Dunes.

Lost & Found - 7 and 8th graders meet weekly for Confirmation classes culminating in the confirmation of their faith and membership in the larger church body. They also meet weekly for fun, fellowship, music and devotions. Community service projects are scheduled twice yearly to introduce the kids to the joy of serving.

High Life - Senior High School Every Sunday evening in the gym or youth house, you can find high school age kids sharing, caring and praying for each other. They also play games, worship with our youth lead band and study the Bible while establishing everlasting friendships with other Christian teenagers. Mission trips, river rafting, beach days, amusement parks, “dinner and a movie” nights, Pedal Pushing for the Rose Parade and traveling to the National Youth Gathering are some of the exciting events happening here at Christ Lutheran Youth Ministries.

College Our newest group will be meeting on a regular basis to provide a Christian stronghold of solid friendships, providing a reprieve from the secular world that so often leads our young adults away from the Lord who loves them.
