Beginning on September 12, 2010, we will begin offering a contemporary worship service in the Fireside Room starting at 11:15 AM. This service will appeal to young families who'd like to hear the latest contemporary music in an intimate setting. Child care will be provided. Please plan to attend the next Worship Café on Wed July 28 at 7PM, which will be a great opportunity to listen to music that will represent what you'll be hearing on Sundays at 11:15.

Greetings CLS families! As the end of the year approaches, Mr. Nordmeyer is in the process of making decision regarding staffing. He needs an accurate enrollment count to make these decisions. We have had a tremendous amount of tours this month that we feel God will bless. However, we want to insure that we are serving our own CLS families first. We can‟t do that unless we know you‟re coming back! Please get your application and registration fee in to the school office so we can work our numbers out for next year. If there is a reason that is holding the process up for you, please contact Lisa Olson or Richard Nordmeyer in the school office, 949/548-6866.

Eleven new Sermon-based Small Groups - Life Groups are happening! 4 groups meet on Sunday morning, and 7 more throughout the week. Look for the locations and specific times in Sunday's bulletin. CLC’s first ever “Worship Café” coffee-house was a huge success with flameless candles, twinkling lights, gourmet coffees, warm fire, delicious desserts, indoor/outdoor seating, wireless internet, and amazing music. Care Ministry for our Shut-Ins
If you know of a CLC member or attendee who is a ―shut-in (someone who is unable to leave his/her own home or facility) that would like a visit from a caring Christ minister, please contact us. We want to let him/her know he/she is still a part of our family here and that we love and value him/her. The Care Ministry Team is made up of caring people who reach out to Christ members who are no longer able to attend church services and functions. Team members visit at least one to two times a month to talk, listen, read Scripture and pray with the shut-in person. If you have a heart of mercy for those who are lonely and compassion for those who are suffering, please prayerfully consider joining the Care Ministry Team. We are in need of team leaders to coordinate the ministry and ministers to visit those shut-ins who are being cared for in a Nursing home. For more information, please contact Pastor Glenn

2010 flower sign up chart is up and posted on the door to the Resource Center. Honor someone on their birthday, celebrate your anniversary or just give praise and glory to God for all He has blessed you with. Cost is $40. A form is mailed to you in advance so that you may select the wording you would like on the bulletin.

New Orleans Mission Trip
Please consider joining the team to New Orleans this November.
We leave on Sunday, November 7th and return on Friday, November 12th.
We will again be working with Camp Restore in many different areas from building to simply working with and in the community.
All levels of skill are ap-preciated.
The cost of the trip is ap-proximately $700 which covers flight cost, rental car, and housing and food.

24 Hours Makes a Difference in Your Life & Theirs! The 8th house build in Tijuana is October 15-16, 2010! We spend 24 hours constructing a house for a family selected by Lutheran Border Concerns. Feed the Hungry
Our usual Neighborhood Food Distribution date is the second Saturday of the month. I want to encourage those that can to arrive by 11:30 to assist with the set up. As more and more neighbors come for assistance, the need for advance preparation increases.

Coupons for our Military Families
The Kleppe ChristCare Group is collecting coupons to be forwarded to a military base in Germany. We will accept any coupon marked “manufacturer’s coupon” and up to 2 months past expiration date. We appreciate it if you cut them out and sort them food and non-food but that isn’t necessary. We will make sure they are sorted before they are mailed. We anticipate this will be an ongoing project, so start saving those coupons. A box will be available for collection. See this month’s SYNC for details.
