Welcome to the CLCS Music and Worship Ministry Page!

As believers in Christ, we are now “…a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that [we] may declare the praises of him who called [us] out of darkness into his wonderful light.”  1 Peter 2:9

declare:  ἐξαγγέλλω (transliteration: exaggello);  to make known by praising or proclaiming.

Proclaiming praise about God and to God is a central and integral part of the Christian life, and all mankind is created to give God glory and praise because He is worthy!  There are many opportunities to get involved in the worship ministry here at Christ Lutheran, and we would love for you to join the team.  Whether you’re a beginner or professional musician, new Christian or long time believer, we have wonderful areas of vocal and instrumental music ministry through which you can give your offering of praise to the Lord.  We’re also working to develop other areas in worship such as dance, drama, and visual art.  Take a look at some of the different opportunities and come join the worship ministry family!

Sanctuary Choir - directed by Pastor Joe Strubbe

• Traditional SATB Choir
• Sings regularly at Sunday 8:00am Service
• Thursday night 7pm rehearsals

Handbell Choir - led by Lay Director, Sue Hinrichs

• Traditional Bell Choir
• Plays occasionally at 8:00am and 9:45am Services
• Thursday night 6pm rehearsals

Praise Band - led by Music and Worship Director, Kris Huston

• Blended style, full band and vocal teams,
• Plays weekly at Sunday 9:45am Service
• Geared to ages 35-65
• Tuesday night 7pm rehearsals

Special Music and Ensembles - coordinated by Lay Volunteer, Anne Navarro

• Traditional and Contemporary Styles
• Scheduled occasionally at 8:00am and 9:45am Services
• Vocal Soloists, duets, or small groups
• Instrumental soloists, duets, or small groups
• All ages
