“For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.”
Philippians 2:13
Kyle Frazier’s passion for ministry can be found in this verse. The idea that it is God working in each and every single one of us so that we may outwardly show the love we find in Jesus Christ to the world is the foundation for his ministry.
Kyle is a native to California, being born in beautiful San Diego where his parents and younger brother still live today. After attending Jr. High and High School in Boise, Idaho, Kyle decided to return to his home state for his college education at Concordia University in Irvine.
While at Concordia, Kyle explored many different avenues for his future before answering God’s calling into ministry. Kyle started to feel the pull towards working with youth while volunteering at a High School District Youth Gathering his freshman year. It was here where he first got a taste for the ministry would eventually become his passion and career. After graduating from Concordia in their Director of Christian Education program, Kyle was placed for his internship at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Orange. As a volunteer, intern, and DCE, Kyle served at this congregation for six years prior to coming to Christ Costa Mesa.
His calling to youth ministry has led to some incredible ministry opportunities that he would have never experienced otherwise. For two summers he was able to serve at Sonshine Specialized Camping Ministries, a houseboat camp on Lake Shasta and the Sacramento River Delta. He has also been lucky enough to participate and lead mission trips to Inner City Los Angeles, Mexico, the Apache Indian Reservation, New Zealand, and the mountains of Jamaica. Kyle has also been blessed to be a part of several District Youth Gatherings for both Jr. High and High School.
Shortly after starting his internship at St. Paul’s, Kyle met his future wife Danielle. The couple was married in January of 2007. Danielle currently serves as the Director of the Drama Department at Lutheran High School in Orange where she teaches and directs several of their productions in the Nechita Center.
Kyle loves sports, especially baseball, and can be found watching ESPN at all hours of the day. With his passion for sports, he has developed a passion for coaching and enjoys the teaching opportunity that it presents.
